FOR SCHOOLBOARD - DISTRICT 5
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Erin

ERIN IS A WIFE & MOTHER
Erin has been happily partnered for 12 years and is the proud parent of two incredible humans – one is homeschooled and the other is a student at Mountain Elementary.
ERIN UNDERSTANDS DIVERSITY
Erin is originally from San Antonio, TX and has lived in Los Alamos since 2010. She is a second generation Mexican-American. She’s bilingual, biracial, and descendant from tribes indigenous to Central America. She brings a unique perspective to the needs of diverse populations.
ERIN IS A COMMUNITY ADVOCATE
Erin currently sits on the LAPS school board and is a member of Los Alamos county's Racial Equity & Inclusivity Task Force. In 2017, she created the Los Alamos Forest School Co-Op to support homeschooling families. She further supports local children and families as a local Girl Scout Leader.
Erin will continue to advocate for services, support, and opportunities for all members of our community. She is passionate about community care and wants our community members to thrive.
ERIN VALUES MENTAL HEALTH
Erin has worked in mental healthcare since 2019 and will be a practicing clinician in 2022. She was a founding member of Strong in Nature, a non-profit dedicated to the support and empowerment of survivors of sexual assault. She brings an understanding and commitment to mental well-being that is critical for comprehensive educational support of Los Alamos students.
With her background in mental health care, Erin knows how individual supports prop up and provide care for the whole community. When we support students, teachers, staff, and administrators, we in turn support their families and, ultimately, the community as a whole. Erin will prioritize the needs of the LAPS community as a whole, if elected to continue serving on the school board.
